2026 FootGolf Players Championship set for Orlando in October

The 2026 FootGolf Players Championship will bring 320 Footgolfers to Shingle Creek FootGolf Course in Orlando from October 22-24, with players competing for a share of $50,000 in what organizers are billing as the “Largest Cash Prize Purse in FootGolf History!” The field and purse make it one of the clearest destination events on the late-season calendar.

Entry is priced at $575 at the regular rate, with an early-bird special of $550. Payment plans are due by July 23, 2026 at midnight EST, a deadline that gives players a hard planning checkpoint more than three months before the opening round at 9939 Universal Blvd in Orlando.

The format is built for a full championship week. Players will cover 72 holes over three days on two 18-hole championship FootGolf courses, giving the event enough room to build toward a decisive final day rather than a one-round sprint. That structure, along with the size of the field, helps explain why the Players Championship is being positioned above a typical local stop and closer to a must-attend test for players mapping out the end of their season.

Orlando already carries weight in the sport. The Federation for International FootGolf, which identifies itself as the world’s governing body for FootGolf, awarded the 2023 FootGolf World Cup to the Orlando-Kissimmee, Florida area on June 15, 2021. The same metro area has remained a familiar name in major-event planning, and Shingle Creek Golf Club also appeared on the 2026 tournament calendar when it was slated to host the SSSA/ISA Golf Tournament on April 7.

That kind of repeat use matters. The venue has the infrastructure to handle organized, multi-day competition, and the Orlando setting gives out-of-town players an easy travel base for a championship that asks them to commit well in advance. The American FootGolf League, which identifies itself as the official FootGolf league in the United States, operates AFGL Tour and Amateur Tour calendars that give the Players Championship a place inside a more structured competitive season.

With the payment deadline landing in July and the tee times still months away, the October championship is already forcing decisions. Players who want a shot at the purse, the field and the Orlando stage have to lock in now, because this is the kind of late-season event that can shape how the final stretch of 2026 is remembered.
