APPT Kuala Lumpur Open sets record as Asia-Pacific padel’s biggest event

The APPT Aims Padel Revolution Open, staged June 19-21 at Padel Revolution, drew 340 players from 42 nationalities across 170 pairs and nine draws. Malaysian players reached the podium in six of nine draws in Kuala Lumpur, with Jadeleen Lee Jiaee helping lead the home push by winning the Pro Mix title alongside Pablo Molina. It was the biggest Open in tour history.

Padel Revolution hosted the tournament across seven courts with professional lighting and smart court technology, and AIMS Club served as the official title sponsor. Padel Revolution is Malaysia’s largest indoor padel facility, and the event carried $6,500 in professional prize money and APPT ranking points.

On the men’s side, Adria Mercadal Berenguer and Juan Carlos Gama González beat Sergi Nogueras Lorenz and Valentino Acosta Kremnitzer in the final to take the Pro title. The win was Mercadal’s fifth Pro Male title of 2026, adding Kuala Lumpur to Masters Finals, Rawai, Phuket III and Penang.

Carla Serrano and Patrícia Ribeiro claimed the women’s Pro crown after defeating Jessica Palma and Elysia Wan, giving the pair their third title together in 2026. Nine different draws produced nine champions.

Jadeleen Lee Jiaee won two titles in the same weekend and reached three finals across pro and amateur competition. Several amateur divisions also produced all-Asian podiums. The men’s amateur bracket finished with an all-Indonesian final.

The Kuala Lumpur stop had already moved quickly before play began, passing 100 teams before registration closed. That surge followed APPT’s 2025 visit to Ascaro Padel & Social Club, where amateur categories sold out more than a month before the event began. Malaysian women have now won a title at every APPT tournament held in Kuala Lumpur.
