AWL Wiffleball league builds early season story in Week 3 action
Levi Saville drove in four runs and Hudson Saville added a three-run shot that was described as absolutely crushed, giving AWL Wiffleball’s Week 3 slate its clearest early-season markers. The June 27 page also showed the Hillside Hornets in first place, while the Lakeview Lightning sat at 2-4, a quick split that already separated the front of the table from the teams still trying to find traction.
That kind of early sorting is built into the way AWL has staged its summer. Founded in November 2025 through text messages between Baxter, Thomas F, and Hudson, the league has four teams, the Coastal Cavaliers, Hillside Hornets, Red Clay Raiders and Lakeview Lightning. The summer schedule on the league site laid out a tight arc: Week 1 on June 13, Week 2 on June 20, Week 3 on June 27, Week 4 on July 4, Divisionals on July 11 and the World Series on July 18, with a July 4 ASG + HRD event folded into the holiday slate.
The numbers on the summer 2026 stats page backed up the feeling that a race was starting to take shape. Alistair Higgins led the league with eight RBIs and a 3-0 record, putting him in the middle of both the batting and pitching leaderboards. Levi Saville and Hudson Saville were tied at four RBIs apiece, while Hudson Saville also posted a 2.40 ERA across five innings pitched. Levi Saville’s profile listed him as a 10-year-old right-handed pitcher and outfielder for the Hillside Hornets, after debuting in Fall 2025 for Lakeview, another sign that the player pool is already creating its own internal history.

The standings pages added more context to the first month of the season. The all-time board listed the Coastal Cavaliers at 21-13 and the Lakeview Lightning at 17-16, a short but useful record of how quickly this league has been documenting itself. With Hillside out front in the summer standings and Higgins setting the pace in the stats, the early title picture is already narrowing before the July 4 split point arrives.
