Big League Wiffle Ball put its July 26 playoffs on Eventbrite for Sunday, July 26, from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Assembly Studios Gate 2 in Atlanta. The six-and-a-half-hour window turned the postseason into an all-day program, not a single game slot, and a related social post tied the day to Assembly Atlanta. Another Instagram snippet said @bfinn86 would throw out the first pitch, a small flourish that fit BLW’s habit of selling its biggest dates like live events.

That playoff listing sits inside a league that has built its identity around presentation as much as competition. BLW says it is America’s first professional wiffle ball league, and says it began as a four-team backyard circuit during the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2020 to 2025, BLW says it ran a backyard league every summer, hosted major tournaments in Arizona, played a World Series and put the Western Wiffle Ball Classic at Scottsdale Stadium on the calendar. The July 26 playoff block extends that same formula into the postseason.

BLW’s league page says the 2025-26 season features 10 professional teams backed by official ownership groups, while its structure page says the top clubs by points move on to BLW’s Championship League the following summer. That points system gives the playoff listing context beyond one date on a schedule. Los Angeles Naturals sat first at 20-2 on the standings page, with Arizona Saguaros, New York Green Apples and Las Vegas Scorpions also listed near the top, showing the league’s regular-season race had already produced clear order before the postseason window opened.

Atlanta has become a central stage for that expansion. BLW’s ownership page lists the Atlanta Ballers’ celebrity backers as Nelly, Julio Jones, Tony Robbins, Trevor Short, Rohit Tripathi and Jermaine Dupri. One Instagram post said the Atlanta Ballers would be in action all day on a Sunday at Assembly Studios, and another said pro wiffle ball would go live in Atlanta on June 7, with opening day tickets available. In that same promotional push, BLW called opening day in Atlanta “history is being made in Atlanta.”

The league’s broader calendar reinforces that the July 26 playoffs were part of a larger business plan. BLW’s tournaments page referenced a 2026 calendar stretching from fall 2026 through summer 2027, and its tickets page mentioned the BLW 2026-27 Pro Tour and World Series, including a Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026 event at Scottsdale Stadium with general-admission tickets set at $10 and youth under 13 admitted free. The playoffs at Assembly Studios fit a league intent on treating wiffle ball like a full venue product, with dates, tickets and celebrity names doing as much work as the bracket itself.
