Bohn throws two-hit shutout, goes 4-for-4 in Guac Boys win

Bohn controlled every part of the game for Guac Boys, pitching a two-hit shutout and going 4-for-4 at the plate in a 6-0 win over Jack Shack in Ellsworth. The performance came on the opening night of the second half of the 2026 Ellsworth Wiffleball League season and left Jack Shack scoreless on just two hits.

The win fit into a strong July run for Guac Boys. They had already beaten Jack Shack 11-2 on July 7, then followed with another decisive result in the first game of the second half. Guac Boys also beat Cheap Goats 7-3 on July 7 and outlasted Cheap Goats 9-6 in a ten-inning game on July 2, a stretch that showed how quickly they were separating themselves from the pack.

Jack Shack had no answer once Bohn settled in. In wiffle ball, a pitcher who controls the strike zone can make an offense disappear, and Bohn did that while also carrying the lineup himself. His four-hit night meant Guac Boys were not waiting on one phase of the game to cover for the other. The pitching shut the door, and the hitting made sure Jack Shack never had a chance to chase the score.

The result also sharpened the pressure around this matchup. Jack Shack had beaten Guac Boys 15-6 in a November 21, 2023 recap and later advanced to the Wiffle Series with a walk-off win over Guac Boys on September 14, 2024, so the series has already swung both ways in recent seasons. But the July 14 meeting belonged entirely to Guac Boys, who were also part of a busy league night that saw Cheap Goats beat Jack Shack 9-6 and Guac Boys top Shady Characters 8-2.

For Guac Boys, Bohn’s all-in-one takeover was more than a clean win. It was the kind of complete effort that can carry a second-half push, with one player dictating both the pace on the mound and the production in the batter’s box.
