Bunts stay unbeaten as Lehighton adult kickball league tightens

Bunts stayed unbeaten at 3-0 while iKick, One Kick Wonders and Kicks-N-Balls split a tight stretch of results that showed how little separation existed in the Lehighton Adult Kickball League. iKick edged One Kick Wonders 4-3, One Kick Wonders answered with a 7-5 win over Kicks-N-Balls, and Kicks-N-Balls later broke through for its first win, a 12-2 decision over Odd Balls. Kickin' Up Dirt also posted a 7-0 shutout, another sign that the gap between a clean win and a grind-it-out night was thinning fast.

Bunts had set the pace with two lopsided wins that made the standings look crowded behind it. One update listed Bunts after a 16-0 shutout of the Ballbarians and a 6-1 win over Bunt Force Trauma, results that made the unbeaten start hard to miss. Another post put Bunts at 17-1, a conflicting total that still pointed to the same reality: Bunts had become the league's clearest early standard-bearer. The Week 4 standings update on the league website also showed Pitch Please, Ballbarians, SlimeTime, Rollin Bunts and Bombs Away, keeping the middle of the table packed with teams still trying to break free.

The postseason was already on the calendar at East Penn Sporting Club, where the six-team double-elimination playoffs were scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2025. Team pictures were set for Aug. 9 before each team's first playoff game, and the league website identified Suck My Kick as the 2025 kickball champions. That setup made the late-summer results more than just regular-season noise, because every swing, run and defensive stop fed directly into seeding pressure heading into championship day.

The recent scores showed the league from every angle. Bunts won by 16 runs and by five. iKick and One Kick Wonders traded one-run pressure games. Kicks-N-Balls finally got off the mark with a 12-2 result. Kickin' Up Dirt added a 7-0 shutout. With that mix, Lehighton entered the playoff stretch with real parity in the middle and a front-runner at the top, the kind of balance that leaves little room for a bad night once the bracket starts.
