Clyde FC confirms FootGolf Day 2026 return in August

Clyde FC is bringing Footgolf Day back to Footgolf Cumbernauld, turning last year’s successful debut into a second run designed to pull supporters, families and casual players into the club’s orbit. The 2026 edition is set for Sunday, August 23, with tickets already on sale and Darren plus some of the players due to take part.

The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. before an 11:00 a.m. start at the Palacerigg Road venue in Cumbernauld. That gives the event a clear, organised format and keeps the focus on participation rather than spectacle, with Clyde again using a dedicated FootGolf setting rather than staging it as a novelty add-on somewhere inside the football operation.

Footgolf Cumbernauld gives the club a venue with its own identity. It says it is open seven days a week and advertises family saver pricing from Monday to Thursday, with an adult and a kid available for £25 or an adult and two kids for £30. The venue also uses the tagline “the original” Footgolf Cumbernauld, underlining that Clyde is working with an established local course, not a temporary setup.

That matters for a format like FootGolf, which bridges football and golf by letting players use a football on a golf-style course. Clyde’s decision to bring the day back after the inaugural event last year points to more than a one-off experiment. The repeat keeps the same basic formula intact, but with the added draw of Darren and some of the players joining in, which should give the day a stronger link to the first team and a wider pull beyond the usual matchday crowd.
