Culcheth Sports Club will mark the opening of three outdoor padel courts with a free community day, pairing the launch with a relaunch of Legacy Health & Fitness at the Charnock Road venue in Culcheth. The plan is built to draw in families, juniors, women and first-time players, with free padel, an outdoor DJ, a BBQ and family activities all listed for the opening.

Warrington Borough Council approved the three-court scheme on 31 July 2026, clearing the way for the club to turn an unused stretch of grassland into a new playing area. The site is being presented under several names, including Culcheth Sports Club, The Daten and Ace Padel Culcheth, reflecting a wider rebrand rather than a simple court install.

That broader offer matters because padel’s growth in the UK is increasingly tied to multi-use venues that can bring people through the door for more than one reason.
