Dallas turned a playoff bracket that was supposed to run through the LA Naturals on its head, knocking off the unbeaten club to reach the Big League Wiffle Ball World Series. The Pandas did it after already stacking results across the postseason, turning a presumed underdog path into the league’s clearest shock of the year.

The climb started with a pair of blowouts over Atlanta, 5-0 and 8-1, before Dallas kept rolling with a 4-0 win over Philadelphia and back-to-back wins over Los Angeles, 4-3 and 2-0. The key question now is whether Dallas’s playoff formula can travel all the way to a title. The Pandas have already shown they can win big, and they proved in the 4-3 and 2-0 wins over Los Angeles that they can also manage pressure when the margin shrinks.
