Demurias throws eight shutout innings as Hagerstown blanks Lexington 7-0
Eddy Demurias gave Hagerstown eight scoreless innings and the Flying Boxcars beat Lexington 7-0 on Tuesday night at Legends Field. Hagerstown opened the game with two runs in the first inning and two more in the second, then spent the rest of the night in control while Lexington never put together a sustained threat.
Noah Smith collected three hits and scored three runs, Darick Hall drove in three runs, and Baron Radcliff added a solo home run as Hagerstown spread the offense through the lineup. The Boxcars finished with 11 hits and one error, with Demurias doing the heavy lifting on the mound and picking up his fifth win of the season.
Lexington’s offense never found its footing against Demurias or the rest of the Hagerstown staff. The Legends managed only three hits, and the game’s scattered contact never turned into pressure. Trayce Thompson doubled in the first inning, Gabe Howell doubled in the third and Juan Gonzalez singled in the eighth, but those were the only hits Lexington could muster in the shutout loss.

Kayden Campbell struck out two in a scoreless inning, Kaden Spivey fanned three in his frame and David Stich finished with a scoreless ninth. By then, though, Hagerstown had already built a comfortable margin and kept Lexington from ever getting back into the game.
The result pushed Hagerstown to 35-20 and left Lexington at 24-31 on the Atlantic League scoreboard. It also opened a six-game series in Lexington that continues with a Wednesday morning Camp Day game at 11:00 a.m., part of a home stretch that runs through June 28. Lexington’s 2026 home schedule listed Tuesday’s game as a 6:45 p.m. start and also included promotions around the series, with $2 Tuesday and Silver Sluggers Night on June 23 before the Camp Day matinee on June 24.
