Empower Padel event aims to inspire the next generation of girls

Girls got a first touchpoint with padel through mentorship and shared time on court at Empower Padel’s community event. Athletes, broadcasters and wellness creators came together around them, turning the sport into an entry point rather than just an exhibition and showing how the game can be built around retention as much as excitement.

A participation pipeline, not a one-off moment

Empower Padel has built its identity around female participation, calling itself “the Go-To Community for Female Padel Players.” Its website is organized around About, Events, Resources, Ambassadors and Impact, pointing to a structure designed to move players from curiosity to involvement and then toward long-term engagement.

The strongest padel growth stories are no longer just about adding courts. They are about creating first experiences that feel welcoming enough for a beginner to return, and visible enough for a girl to picture herself taking part again. Empower Padel’s event model fits that logic: the court becomes the starting point, while the surrounding community pages and ambassador network help extend the relationship beyond a single session.

Why the guest list matters

The mix of athletes, presenters and wellness creators is deliberate. Athletes provide credibility, broadcasters bring familiarity, and wellness creators can translate the sport into a lifestyle audience that may not otherwise walk into a club or sign up for a lesson.

Its annual VIP event has brought together leading athletes, broadcasters and creators at The Hurlingham Club, a setting that gives the project both prestige and reach. In a sport still working to deepen its base, those faces make participation visible and aspirational, especially for girls who rarely see themselves represented in racket-sport spaces.

When a young player sees women attached to the event not only as competitors but also as presenters, creators and community builders, padel looks less like a closed technical world and more like a sport with room for different forms of belonging.

The retention problem behind the celebration

In one Instagram reel, Empower Padel says girls are “twice as likely to give up sports than boys,” which frames the event as more than a feel-good gathering. The problem is not simply how to attract girls once, but how to give them a reason to keep showing up.

That is where beginner-friendly coaching and repeat contact become essential. A one-day experience can spark interest, but the longer-term pipeline depends on whether the next step is clear: another session, another face they recognize, another event that feels accessible rather than intimidating. Empower Padel’s mix of Events, Resources and Ambassadors suggests an effort to build those handoffs rather than leaving participation to chance.

Affordability sits inside that same question. Padel can grow quickly when the first session feels social and modern, but sustained involvement depends on whether regular play stays within reach for families. It also depends on whether the surrounding community structure makes a second visit easier than the first.

The business case for backing women’s padel

On March 5, 2025, Empower Padel agreed a three-year partnership with Evelyn Partners. Evelyn Partners said its tie-up with Empower Padel was meant to encourage more women to harness the benefits of team sport, which places the collaboration squarely inside a women-in-sport agenda.

Community sport often needs institutional backing to move beyond isolated events. A three-year partnership gives the project time to create continuity, test formats and keep its message in front of the same audience across multiple touchpoints. It also shows that businesses increasingly see women’s padel as a credible platform for engagement, development and audience growth.

Evelyn Partners has also partnered with the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic there, linking the brand to one of the most visible venues in the UK padel scene.
