FC Tulsa, Lexington SC share scoreless draw in physical USL clash

FC Tulsa and Lexington SC played to a 0-0 draw at ONEOK Field, a physical USL Championship match that never produced the one clean finish either side needed. Dane Jacomen for Tulsa and Oliver Semmle for Lexington each recorded two-save shutouts, and both clubs left with a point after 90 minutes of hard contact, broken rhythm and limited end product.

USL Championship called the game a physical affair, and the scoreline matched the tone. The match settled into midfield duels and contested second balls rather than open stretches of possession, with both sides repeatedly being pushed into rushed decisions once they entered the final third. Lexington’s road point this time came from a steadier defensive showing, with Semmle matching Jacomen shutout for shutout and helping his side absorb the pressure that Tulsa could not convert.

In a match defined by physicality more than flair, the scoreboard told the same story as the action. FC Tulsa protected its goal, Lexington SC protected its own, and neither side solved the final-third problem that keeps scoreless draws from becoming wins.
