Former Tyler JC star Corey Camper Jr. signs Exhibit 10 with Suns
Corey Camper Jr. signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Phoenix Suns after going undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft, giving the former Tyler Junior College standout a non-guaranteed path into Summer League and training camp. For a player who has climbed from Little Rock, Arkansas, through Tyler, Texas, to Reno, Nevada, the deal keeps the door open to the NBA roster spot that has long been the next step in his development.
An Exhibit 10 contract sits on the fringes of the NBA’s roster system. It is a non-guaranteed deal under the league’s current collective bargaining agreement, and it allows a team to bring a player into camp and the summer program without committing regular-season money. For Camper, it is the kind of opportunity that turns a strong college finish into a real shot at the professional level.
Tyler Junior College has every reason to claim him as one of its own. Camper played for NJCAA Hall of Fame coach Mike Marquis, started every game over two seasons, nearly reached 1,000 career points there and earned Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2022-23. RealGM’s timeline lists him at 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game during his Tyler season, production that made him one of the most productive junior-college guards in the country.
That base carried him to UTEP for two seasons and then to Nevada, where he finished his senior year with the best numbers of his college career. Camper started 32 of 37 games for the Wolf Pack, averaged 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists, shot 45.3 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from 3-point range and 80.0 percent at the free-throw line. Nevada listed him at 549 points, 157 rebounds and 88 assists for the season, while his career total reached 1,161 points.

The Wolf Pack also named Camper to the 2026 NABC-Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game West roster, a fitting cap for a player who kept rising after his JUCO start. RealGM’s records show he averaged 8.4 points per game at UTEP in 2023-24 and 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 2024-25, while earning Conference USA All-Defensive Team and All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition.
Tyler’s release on his Suns signing turned the moment back toward the junior-college roots that helped launch it. Camper’s path now reaches the NBA developmental pipeline, and Tyler can point to him as proof that a productive JUCO run can still lead to major-conference production and an NBA chance.
