Four Cedar Rapids RoughRiders selected in 2026 NHL Draft

Cedar Rapids put four players into the 2026 NHL Draft and tied Muskegon for the most selections by any USHL team. The draft, held June 26-27 at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, sent Justin Graf, Connor Davis, Hawke Huff and Ryan Cameron to four different NHL organizations.

Graf went first for the RoughRiders at No. 118 to Nashville. He posted 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points in 52 games before a season-ending injury cut his year short. Graf had already been on NHL Central Scouting’s radar, ranked 139th among North American skaters in the final 2025-26 list, and Cedar Rapids also had him among three RoughRiders selected for the 2026 Chipotle All-American Game, alongside David Bosco and Ryan Cameron.

Davis came off the board next, landing at No. 128 to Vancouver after matching Graf’s 55-point total in one more game. He finished the regular season with 26 goals and 29 assists in 59 games, then added two playoff goals in two Clark Cup games. Davis earned USHL Forward of the Week on March 30 after an eight-point week that included four goals and four assists in wins over Des Moines and Waterloo.

Huff, an assistant captain, went to Seattle at No. 148 after producing 3 goals and 36 assists for 39 points in 61 games, finishing plus-17 and adding two playoff goals. He was a finalist for USHL Defenseman of the Year before being named to the All-USHL First Team. Cameron completed the group when Edmonton took him at No. 212, after a regular season in which he went 24-11-2-3 with a .882 save percentage and followed with a .885 mark in two Clark Cup playoff games. He had already been named USA Hockey’s Goaltender of the Year and was ranked 33rd among North American goalies by NHL Central Scouting.

Mark Carlson has been the franchise’s only head coach since its inaugural 1999-2000 season, and the RoughRiders have won three Anderson Cups and one Clark Cup under his direction.

Cedar Rapids opens its 2026-27 home schedule Saturday, Sept. 26 against Dubuque, with 12 Friday home games, 16 Saturdays, one Tuesday and one Wednesday on the slate. Season ticket packages remain available and include both home preseason games, discounted pricing and exclusive holder benefits.
