Fury, Scandal, Brute Squad hold steady atop women’s rankings

San Francisco Fury, Washington, D.C. Scandal and Boston Brute Squad stayed locked into the top three when Ultiworld’s July 22 rankings update left the women’s top five unchanged. New York BENT held No. 4 and Denver Molly Brown stayed No. 5, giving the division a clean snapshot of stability after the first stretch of summer play.

That matters because club rankings are not just a vanity board. They shape how teams are viewed, where they sit in the national conversation and how every result is weighed against the current standard. Ultiworld’s 2026 rankings page has been moving through checkpoints on July 2, July 10, July 16 and July 22, and the women’s table used the latest one to show that the top tier was still intact rather than in flux.

The lack of movement at the top stands out even more against the rest of the summer landscape. Ultiworld’s July 16 power-rankings piece said PEC West generated shakeups in every division, a reminder that some corners of club ultimate were already getting churned by early results. In the mixed division, Ultiworld’s July 10 primer said Hybrid was eyeing a third title in a Worlds year while the division was recovering from last season’s regionals shockers and welcoming new college stars. That is the kind of volatility the women’s rankings did not show on July 22.

The mixed side still has plenty of sorting to do, with the US Open 2026 set for July 31-Aug. 2, the Elite-Select Challenge on Aug. 22-23, the Pro Championships on Sept. 5-7 and Club Regionals later in the season. USA Ultimate’s Club Mixed rankings snapshot also had Hybrid No. 1 with a 2250 power rating and XIST No. 2, a sharp baseline for how the national picture is lining up before the biggest late-summer tests.

For now, though, the women’s board is the cleaner story. Fury, Scandal and Brute Squad did not budge, BENT and Molly Brown stayed behind them, and the next meaningful chance for movement comes when the heavy summer events start asking teams to prove those spots on the field.
