Harrisburg opens adult coed kickball league with roster limits, tournament format

Harrisburg capped its adult coed kickball league at 12 teams, limited rosters to 15 players and required at least four women on the field every game. The Parks and Recreation Department set the league up for adults 18 and older, with age measured as of July 1, and team-only registration instead of individual sign-ups.

The entry window ran from Monday, June 22 through Sunday, July 12, 2026, or until the bracket filled. The fee was $450 per team. Each game required at least eight players on the field, and the season was built around seven regular-season games before a single-elimination tournament decided the finish.

Tuesday nights were the rhythm for the league at Harrisburg Park Turf Fields, with tentative start times listed at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Schedules were slated to be posted online July 16, and play was expected to begin July 28.

Full rosters were due July 26 at 5 p.m., and the town asked for each player’s name, date of birth, age and phone number. Adult athletics paperwork also included a liability waiver and a team-captain signature requirement.

Harrisburg offers adult team sports year-round, with leagues in the spring, winter and fall, and it routes registration through CivicRec, either online or in person at the Harrisburg Parks and Recreation Office at Harrisburg Town Hall. Harrisburg Park sits at the center of that setup. It is the town’s flagship park and a hub for athletics and events, and its field-turf renovations at Fields 1 and 2 were underway with completion expected in time for the spring athletic season.

Cancellations for adult sports are posted online and can also be checked through the town’s weather hotline at 704-455-2903, option 1.
