Lexington powers past High Point behind Dylan Rock's two homers
Dylan Rock hit a ninth-inning inside-the-park homer and finished with two homers and four RBIs in Lexington’s 10-4 victory over High Point at Truist Point.
Curtis Terry opened the scoring with a solo homer in the first, his seventh of the season, then added a two-run double in the third as Lexington built a 5-1 lead. Eric Rataczak also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in that third-inning surge.
Rock delivered the first of his two blasts in the fifth, a two-run homer that pushed Lexington ahead 7-2. His second homer came in the ninth, a two-run inside-the-park shot that put the game out of reach and gave him 10 home runs on the season. Rock finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while Terry went 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Tres Gonzalez also had a multi-hit night as Lexington finished with 10 hits.
Zach Murray allowed four runs on 10 hits over six innings while striking out six to earn the win. The Lexington bullpen then finished the final frames, with Jalen Worthley, David Stich and Carson Lambert closing out the game.

High Point got a solo homer from Ivan Melendez and RBI production from Patrick Sanchez and D.J. Burt, but Jarvis took the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits in six innings. The Rockers were 3-8 against Lexington on the season and had been outscored 67-49 in the 11 meetings.
The crowd of 4,003 at Truist Point was the sixth-largest in ballpark history. The Legends moved to 2-0 in the second half and 28-37 overall, while High Point fell to 0-2 and 29-36. Lexington and High Point were scheduled to finish the three-game set on Sunday at 3:36 p.m. back at Truist Point.
