MLQ sets 2026 championship at Spooky Nook in Lancaster County
Major League Quadball locked its 2026 championship weekend at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and set the league’s season finale for Aug. 15-17. The announcement video went up July 21 and sent fans to the championship site for tickets, putting a firm home on the top professional quadball event in North America.
The choice of Spooky Nook is the clearest signal yet that MLQ wants the championship to feel bigger than a standard playoff stop. The Manheim facility says it has more than 700,000 square feet under one roof and over 50 acres of outdoor facilities, the kind of footprint that can absorb teams, officials, media and fans across a full weekend without looking cramped. For a league selling its title round as the gathering of the best professional quadball teams in North America, that kind of scale matters.
MLQ has already shown it will rotate the championship to match the stage it wants. Its 2024 title weekend brought 12 best teams from across the U.S. and Canada to Howard County, Maryland, for the Benepe Cup crown, and the league said that was the first time since the sport’s name change from quidditch to quadball that its season-ending championship was hosted there. Putting 2026 in Lancaster County extends that pattern and gives the league another chance to sell the final weekend as a marquee destination rather than a routine neutral-site bracket.
The location also helps the event do more than just fit the field of play. Lancaster County gives traveling teams and supporters a base just outside Lancaster, with the hotel stock, dining and regional visitor infrastructure that come with a place built for weekend traffic. That makes the difference between a scattered tournament and a championship that can keep spectators, teams and operations in one place from first whistle to trophy presentation. The official championship site is already live with early-bird tickets, and Spooky Nook gives MLQ the kind of indoor-outdoor setting that can support a polished, multi-day finish to the 2026 season.
