MLW Wiffle Ball announces 17th annual All-Star Game in Brighton, Michigan

MLW Wiffle Ball used an Instagram post Aug. 1 to announce its 17th Annual All-Star Game, setting up a two-day weekend at The Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan with Team Jorgy facing Team Cheetam. The league put the event on the calendar for Aug. 8-9, with age divisions for 10-12, 13-15 and 16-plus, a four-inning format, and playoffs beginning Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

The headline matchup gives the all-star weekend a familiar MLW feel, with Jorgy and Cheetam front and center at a venue that has become the league’s stage in Brighton. A July 31 YouTube upload titled 2026 ALL-STAR GAME | MLW Wiffle Ball spelled out the pairing and thanked Vuori for sponsoring the video, while also directing viewers to the Aug. 8-9 Wiffle in the Mitten tournament information and signups.

That tournament is folded into the same weekend. MLW’s own headlines page lists the 2026 Wiffle in the Mitten Tournament for Aug. 8-9, and a LeagueLineup page says it will be held in the Fieldhouse at The Legacy Center in Brighton. SportsEngine Tourney’s registration page identifies the event as MLW’s 2026 Wiffle in the Mitten Tournament Presented by The Legacy Center, also set for Aug. 8-9 in Brighton, tying the all-star showcase to a larger tournament setting rather than a standalone exhibition.

The structure gives the weekend more competitive weight than a routine summer showcase. An Instagram reel tied to the announcement listed team size at 3-4 players, a $140 team fee, and the same three age groups, while the four-inning games and Sunday playoff start point to a quick, compressed format where mistakes can decide everything. MLW also set a featured game for 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, giving the league a broadcast window that pushes the event beyond the fieldhouse in Brighton.

For MLW, the 17th annual edition is as much about presentation as participation. Between the Vuori-backed video push, the ESPN+ slot, the age-group split and the tournament weekend built around The Legacy Center, the league is using All-Star Game week to showcase both its best players and the way it wants the sport packaged on its biggest dates.
