Montoya and Sendry rally ranks among IRT’s top 30 points

The International Racquetball Tour kept its season-long highlight roll moving on July 27 with No. 24 in its Top 30 Rallies of the 2025-26 season, a Rodrigo Montoya-Cole Sendry exchange built around speed, retrievals and pressure. The same clip also surfaced on Facebook, showing the tour pushing the countdown across platforms as it packaged the year’s best points into a shareable series.

The rally earned its place because it showed how elite IRT point construction works when neither player can finish a ball cleanly. Montoya and Sendry were forced into repeated defensive positions, then had to turn those scrambles into offense with better court positioning and smarter shot selection. That is the difference between a highlight and ordinary shotmaking: one player stretches the other, the defender buys time with a get, and the rally flips before the point can settle.

The caption’s language matched the action it was selling. A fast-paced exchange with incredible gets is exactly the kind of sequence that rewards players who can cover the floor, reset under pressure and recognize when to attack. In a sport where a single rally can demand several emergency retrievals, the point stood out for the way both men kept forcing another shot, another recovery and another counter. Montoya’s name carries its own weight in that kind of clip, but Sendry’s role made the point more than a star showcase. It became a back-and-forth rally that exposed both players to the kind of physical and mental stress that defines the pro tour.

The No. 24 entry also fits into a wider Top 30 Rallies rollout that has been filling out the summer with ranked clips from across the tour. That approach fits an IRT season the tour described as extended, with three tournaments completed at the start of the year and 12 more scheduled before June 2026, for 15 events eligible for ranking points. In that format, a rally like Montoya-Sendry does more than pad a reel. It becomes part of the season’s record, one of the points that defined how high-level racquetball looked and felt from the first events through the final stretch.
