On July 15, New Mexico went to Lexington SC Stadium and beat Lexington SC 4-1, with Greg Hurst scoring twice and Valentin Noël and Joseph Melto each finishing with a goal and an assist. That win stretched the undefeated league run to six games, and it was not built on luck or late drama alone. It was a road performance with multiple scorers, repeated chances converted, and enough control to turn the second half into a statement.

The broader shape of the run matters too. New Mexico had already shown it could manage different match types, beating Orange County SC 1-0 on April 4 on Niall Reid-Stephen’s penalty and drawing 1-1 with Orange County on June 13. Add those results to the Oakland and Lexington wins, and the picture is of a team that has handled tight games, road games and multi-goal games without dropping its level.
