Northern California outdoor racquetball series adds five-event format, prizes

The 2026 Northern California Outdoor Racquetball Series is taking shape as five outdoor tournaments across different Northern California locations, with Erica L. Williams listed as tournament director and Pro Kennex as presenting sponsor. Each stop is set to carry its own format and prize structure, while every registration adds a year-end raffle entry for one of two brand-new Pro Kennex racquets, capped at five entries per player.

That structure turns the circuit into more than a string of dates. A stop at Concord Community Park, 3501 Cowell Rd, Concord, was scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and R2 Sports listings also placed the Sactown Sizzler 3Wall Smash at Florin High School in Sacramento on June 27. The geography matters: players are not being asked to show up once and disappear, but to move through a regional outdoor calendar that rewards travel, repeat participation, and staying in the mix from one stop to the next.

The series also fits squarely inside the sport’s national outdoor infrastructure. USA Racquetball’s World Outdoor Racquetball page and its June 25 update pushed tournament directors to set outdoor events in R2sports under the World Outdoor Racquetball organization so they appear on the WOR page and upcoming-events widget. The same outdoor rules framework gives the series room to vary from stop to stop, since outdoor play generally uses standard USAR rules with WOR modifications and possible local exceptions. That flexibility helps explain why one circuit can feature distinct formats without breaking from the broader rule set.

Northern California is leaning on a region that already understands outdoor racquetball, and the national calendar reinforces that history. USA Racquetball said the 2026 Outdoor Nationals & World Championships will return to Marina Park in Huntington Beach, California, from July 10-12, 2026, while 3WallBall has described Huntington Beach Outdoor Nationals as the longest-running of its premiere events. USA Racquetball’s 2025 recap called it the long-running grand daddy of all outdoor tournaments and said the 2025 edition was the 51st time it had been held. Against that backdrop, the Northern California series reads like a test case for growth: a season built on continuity, sponsor-backed incentives, and a reason to come back for the next stop instead of treating each event as a standalone.
