Official dodgeball tournament lands in Hampton, open play begins June 25

Hampton now has a Thursday dodgeball runway feeding the first National Dodgeball Association tournament ever staged in Hampton Roads, a Sept. 12 event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. being billed as the Official NDA Dodgeball Tournament. The weekly open play started June 25 and continues every Thursday, giving players a regular path in before the bracket tightens.

The event is being promoted as the NDA Shoreline Showdown, and Hampton Roads Dodgeball has directed players to tickets and registration through the links in its bio. That “official” label matters in a sport where some nights are casual run-throughs and others sit inside a formal circuit built around rules, rankings and results. The open play is the funnel.
