Palmdale opens registration for adult kickball league this summer
Palmdale put adult kickball back on its summer docket, opening registration alongside Adult Coed Slow Pitch and Men’s Slow Pitch. The league sat inside a larger adult recreation menu that also included adult basketball, coed hardball slow pitch and coed volleyball.
The city’s adult leagues page called Adult Kickball “immensely popular,” and the setup showed why it keeps drawing sign-ups. League games were scheduled on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays depending on the sport, giving players a recurring weekly rhythm instead of a one-off tournament. For adults returning to the field after time away, signing up solo or looking for a low-pressure social outlet, kickball remained the easiest entry point in Palmdale’s adult lineup.

Palmdale lists kickball in both of its softball and kickball seasons. Spring registration runs from February to March, with games played from March to June. Fall registration runs from May to July, with the season stretching from August to November. A prior city notice said each adult league offered 10 scheduled games, which keeps the commitment manageable while still giving the season structure.
Registration could be completed online or in person at the Parks and Recreation office Monday through Thursday. The city said walk-in payments could be made with Visa, MasterCard, cash or check, but cash and check could not be used for Internet registrations. The office is listed at 827 East Avenue Q-9 in Palmdale, CA 93550, and the Parks and Recreation phone number is 661-267-5611.

The rollout made kickball look less like a novelty and more like a regular fixture in the city’s adult sports calendar. By putting it alongside softball, volleyball and basketball, Palmdale gave adults a short-season, weekly league that fit around work and family schedules while still offering a clear way back into organized sports.
