Recess All Stars shut out VICI 12-0 at Dilworth Field
Recess All Stars turned Dilworth Field into a one-sided stage on July 9, rolling past VICI 12-0 in PSL Summer '26 Kickball - Thursdays at Dilworth. The shutout was more than a tidy win; it separated a 4-1-0 team from a VICI club that left the field at 2-2-0 and seventh in the standings.
The result carried weight because the Thursday league is built for parity. PSL Summer '26 Kickball - Thursdays at Dilworth is a recreational co-ed adult league for players 18 and up, uses a 10 vs 10 format with a four gender-minority minimum, and requires rosters of at least 12 and no more than 20 players. Teams are guaranteed eight regular-season games before playoffs, weather permitting, so every lopsided result can quickly reshape the table.
Recess All Stars did that damage immediately in the standings. After the win, the club sat second behind J-Lew Law KC, which was 5-0-0, and ahead of The Fighting Scarpaci’s, The Dingo Babies, Sons of Pitches, Barely Know Her and VICI. Recess All Stars had scored 38 runs and allowed 19, while VICI had scored 15 and given up 29, a split that made the 12-run blanking even more punishing for VICI’s run differential.

The shutout also fit the shape of Recess All Stars’ season. The team had already shown it could explode for big margins earlier in PSL play, including a 19-0 win over Rolling Bunts and a 24-1 win over Barely Know Her in spring 2026 Thursday competition. That kind of scoreboard pressure suggests a lineup and defense capable of controlling a game from start to finish, not merely surviving it.
For VICI, the problem was not just one bad night but the absence of any sustained push. The team’s page shows a 2-12 loss on July 2 and then the 12-0 defeat on July 9, a stretch that left little room to stabilize the season. At 2-2-0, VICI still had time to recover in the eight-game regular season, but the shutout made the margin for error much thinner.

Kylen remains the contact for kickball questions at Pittsburgh Sports League, which also requires all participants to be rostered and to be PUMP members in good standing. On this night at Dilworth Field, Recess All Stars looked every bit like a contender that understands the format and knows how to press an advantage until the final out.
