South Jersey Strikers close 2026 spring season with 6-3 win

The South Jersey Strikers finished their 2026 Kickball Spring Season with a 6-3 win over Rick's Exceptionals, a scoreline that fit a team that controlled the late innings without turning the finale into a rout. Over seven games, the Strikers did enough in the key spots to separate, while Rick's Exceptionals stayed close enough to keep the matchup tense until the finish.

That final margin matched the way the rivalry unfolded all spring. Rick's Exceptionals opened by beating Team Orange, also listed as the South Jersey Strikers, 4-3 at William Brown Field in Pitman, NJ. The Strikers answered later with a 7-5 win in Game #5, a result that pushed the series to 3-1, before closing the book with the 6-3 finish.

Even without a runaway score, the season-ending result points to the kind of habits that matter in kickball: avoiding the big inning against, getting timely kicks with runners on base and keeping the infield clean enough to hold a lead. The roster the league posted around the run included Diana, Garianne, Dom, Jennifer, Courtland, Tish, Valeri and Dustin, giving the Strikers a stable core through the spring.

The finale also landed in a bigger league picture. The 2026 spring competition featured 30 teams and more than 480 players, and the Strikers’ season wrap included a Best Rookie mention for Lourdes. Against that backdrop, a 6-3 finish over Rick's Exceptionals was less about drama than control, giving South Jersey one last measured win to close a season built on close margins.
