Stonewall Sports opens kickball registration for national tournament weekend
Stonewall Sports opened captain registration Monday night for its 12th Annual National Tournament, setting up a Virginia Beach weekend that will bring together kickball, other tournament sports and the organization’s first-ever Friday Fun Day. Player registration opens Wednesday night, and the tournament expects more than 3,000 LGBTQIA+ people and allies to attend Oct. 22-25, 2026, in partnership with the Stonewall Sports Norfolk chapter.
Kickball sits at the center of that schedule, split between the standard Kickball Classic and the more open-ended Kickball Remix. Kickball Classic is open to women, transgender and nonbinary players of all skill levels, with captains registering first and player sign-ups following July 15. Early-bird pricing is $90 and regular pricing is $100, with each entry including one tournament-branded T-shirt and access to all social events. The regular rate for two-day sport tournaments rises to $100 effective July 26.

Kickball Remix takes individual sign-ups rather than prebuilt squads. Registration opens July 15 and closes Aug. 14, with a cap of 250 total players, a minimum of 13 players per team and random assignment to teams. Remix costs $15 for players who also register for a two-day sport tournament and $40 for players who are not, and it includes the same tournament-branded T-shirt and social access. Stonewall placed Remix into Friday Fun Day on Oct. 23, before kickball’s full tournament days on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25.

Stonewall Sports Richmond runs kickball as a twice-annual league with spring and fall seasons and roster sizes of 16 to 24 players, while Stonewall Kickball DC has more than 1,700 active members in the DMV and partners with more than 30 local nonprofits each year. The tournament leadership team reserves the right to make adjustments in consultation with captains.
