T.I.M. blanks Ball Busters 7-0 in Hoboken kickball win
T.I.M. turned Thursday night at JFK Stadium into a clean 7-0 shutout, blanking Ball Busters on July 9 in Hoboken Weeknight Kickball. The score never tilted back the other way, and Ball Busters finished without a run after T.I.M. controlled both sides of the game.
The result mattered because both clubs were already sitting in the middle of a crowded division picture. The game recap listed T.I.M. at 4-3-0 and Ball Busters at 2-4-0, while the Intermediate standings page showed Ball Busters at 7-1-0 and T.I.M. at 6-2-0. However the season snapshot is read, the shutout gave T.I.M. a result built on more than just a good night at the plate. It was the kind of win that leaves no opening for a comeback or a moral victory.
Hoboken Weeknight Kickball runs as a six-week season with one game per week on weeknights from Monday through Thursday, with starts between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. The format is 11 vs. 11, with no more than seven male players on the field at one time, and games are played over seven innings with a one-hour time limit. At least 50% of teams qualify for the playoffs, which is why every clean result carries weight in the standings.

JFK Stadium, at 1000 Jefferson St. in Hoboken, New Jersey 07030, is one of the league’s listed sites, along with Northwest Resiliency Park and Mama Johnson Field. The schedule page also showed a full Thursday slate at JFK Stadium, putting T.I.M.’s win in the middle of a night crowded with league games rather than as a one-off exhibition.
Seven runs can look ordinary in kickball until it comes with a zero on the other side of the ledger. That is what made this feel bigger than a simple seven-run night: T.I.M. did not just score enough to win, it removed any path for Ball Busters to make the game interesting.
