Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Kicks League shuts out Steel Toe Kickers 10-0
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Kicks League beat Steel Toe Kickers 10-0 on Thursday night at Broad Ripple Park, a result that never let Steel Toe Kickers find a foothold on Diamond 1 at the West Multi-Purpose Field. The June 25 game opened at 6:15 p.m. and ended with Rainbow Kicks League at 1-3-0 and Steel Toe Kickers still winless at 0-4-0.
The scoreline was more than a lopsided finish. It was the kind of shutout that suggests control at every layer, with Rainbow Kicks League dictating field position and keeping Steel Toe Kickers from stringing together the kind of baserunner traffic that can turn a rec night into a mess. In a league where June has already produced other runaway results, including BOMBSQUAD’s 10-0 win over Steel Toe Kickers and Unsolicited Kick Pics’ 13-0 rout of Fried Kickin’, the 10-0 final fit a summer slate that has rewarded the teams that cleanly execute and punish mistakes.
CCA Sports scheduled the Thursday Recreational Kickball League as an eight-date run that started on Thursday, June 4, with games set for June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, July 23 and July 30. The league’s start times are 6:15 p.m., 7:10 p.m. and 8:05 p.m., and CCA lists team entry at $660 total, with a $65 deposit and $60 individual pricing. Sign-up closed on Thursday, June 4.

The setting matters here as much as the margin. CCA Sports says kickball is one of its longstanding and most popular adult leagues, and its year-round recreational and competitive programming stretches across Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, Carmel, Fishers, Lawrence, Greenwood, Westfield and Noblesville. At Broad Ripple Park, a recreation site Indy Parks says has drawn visitors since the 1880s, the newer Broad Ripple Park Family Center opened in early 2023 with an indoor track, multipurpose indoor courts, an indoor playground, two fitness-style rooms and multipurpose rooms. CCA also lists Athletico as its official physical therapy sponsor, part of the broader adult-sports ecosystem that keeps Thursday kickball on the calendar and keeps a result like 10-0 from feeling routine.
