Top-ranked 2010-born forward Dylan Delgado signs with Sioux Falls Stampede

Sioux Falls signed Dylan Delgado to a USHL tender agreement for the 2026-27 season, giving the Stampede early rights to one of the most closely watched 2010-born American forwards. The 5-foot-10, 161-pound left-shot from Weston, Florida arrives with a Western Michigan commitment already in place, a rare double endorsement that puts a college hockey power and a USHL club in the same lane on the same teenager.

Delgado’s production at HoneyBaked U15 made the bet easy to understand. Western Michigan’s post on his commitment said he finished the 2025-26 season with 115 points in 82 games, and MYHockey Rankings breaks that line out as 56 goals and 59 assists for HoneyBaked 15U AAA. That scoring rate, better than 1.4 points per game, shows a forward who did more than finish plays. He created them, too, and did it against top youth competition while still listed in a 2010 birth year.

Puck Preps called Delgado a 5-star recruit, a label that fits the trajectory now taking shape around him. Elite Prospects lists him as a confirmed transfer to Western Michigan University from HoneyBaked 15U AAA, and the Stampede added another layer to his profile with a social post saying he will represent Team USA at the Four Nations tournament in August. By the time he reaches Sioux Falls, he will already have a college destination, a national-team résumé and a junior rights deal in hand.

For Western Michigan and Sioux Falls, the timing says as much as the talent. The Broncos have secured a high-end forward before he arrives in their lineup, while the Stampede have protected their USHL future with a tender on a player still early in his development. That kind of preemptive move has become a defining feature of elite prospect tracking, with programs pushing to identify and claim top talent earlier in the pipeline. Delgado’s path shows how quickly a standout youth season can turn into a college commitment, a USHL tender and a place on Team USA, all before his junior career has even begun.
