U.S. Open 2026 returns to Aurora as elite club benchmark

Aurora Sports Park will host the U.S. Open from July 31-Aug. 2, and USA Ultimate is treating it as the 2026 U.S. Open International Club Championships, a club event that counts toward rankings. Ultiworld’s event page lists the tournament at Aurora Sports Park on East Colfax Avenue in Aurora, Colorado, with USAU Club status and surfaced divisions that include men’s and mixed play.

The women’s field already points to the stakes. Play USA Ultimate lists BENT of New York, Brute Squad of Boston, Fury of San Francisco, Molly Brown of Denver and Scandal of Washington, DC, a cluster of clubs that sits near the top of the July 22 women’s club rankings. That gives Aurora an early season snapshot of how the elite tier is lining up before the postseason race sharpens.

The schedule around the tournament adds to its importance. Ultiworld’s 2026 club calendar places the U.S. Open immediately after Masters Championships 2026, which runs July 17-20, and the same Aurora Sports Park footprint also hosts Youth Club Championships Aug. 1-3. That compressed stretch turns Aurora into a championship hub over three straight weeks, with elite club play and youth titles sharing the same city nearly back to back.
