US Quadball partners with OmahaForUs for 2027 Cup in Omaha
US Quadball has named OmahaForUs an official community partner for the 2027 US Quadball Cup, putting a local LGBTQ+ center at the center of the federation’s buildout for the April 17-18, 2027 tournament in Omaha, Nebraska. The announcement arrived in an August 7 Instagram reel, and US Quadball linked the partnership directly to the championship it will stage in the city.
The move gives the Omaha event a clearer local base beyond the field. OmahaForUs says it is a nonprofit community center serving LGBTQ+ individuals and families from eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, and describes itself as the first inclusive, sober space dedicated to LGBTQ+ people in the Omaha metro. Its Candid profile lists it as a 501(c)(3) public charity at 742 N 109th Court in Omaha, a concrete address that underscores how rooted the partner is in the host city.
That matters because US Quadball’s growth model depends on more than brackets and standings. The organization, established in 2010, says its mission is to organize events and programs that build community and empower adult and youth athletes of all identities. A partner like OmahaForUs can help that mission in practical ways: it gives US Quadball a local organization with existing neighborhood ties, a built-in volunteer and outreach network, and a direct line to people who may be looking for their first contact with the sport.
The 2027 Cup will be staged in partnership with Sarpy County Tourism and the Omaha Sports Commission, with matches at the CHI Health Multisport Complex. US Quadball’s Threads account promoted the event with the message, “All roads lead here,” and the federation’s site has already framed the Omaha partnership as part of the Cup announcement. That puts OmahaForUs alongside tourism and sports stakeholders in a structure that looks designed to do more than simply host games.
For US Quadball, the test is whether those relationships can turn into attendance, volunteer support, and new-player pathways before the championship arrives. The organization has been public about wanting to build community through its events, and the OmahaForUs tie gives that promise a local anchor in a market where inclusion, sober space, and regional access all line up with the sport’s identity. The next 20 months will show whether the partnership becomes a real engine for participation or just another logo on a promotional post.
