The USA Padel 2000 Ultra Open landing at Padel Haus Greenpoint puts 12 Berry Street in the middle of a bigger shift: New York padel is no longer an edge market, it is becoming one of the sport’s domestic hubs. The 2000 designation matters because it marks a major-tier stop built to attract stronger fields and deliver ranking points that carry real weight on the American calendar.

Padel Haus Greenpoint fits that role almost too neatly. The Brooklyn club is at 12 Berry Street, and Padel Haus said it was set to open with five state-of-the-art courts and 28-foot ceilings. The venue was also described as a 20,000-square-foot indoor facility with five courts, nearly 28-foot-high ceilings, a pro shop, lounge, food and beverage service, lockers, showers and private event space. That mix is exactly what high-end urban padel in the United States looks like right now: compact, branded and built to serve both competition and daily traffic.

The Brooklyn map around it is filling in fast. North Brooklyn already has four open clubs and 19 courts between them, with Greenpoint set to push the borough past 24 courts once it is fully in the mix. Williamsburg and Dumbo have already helped establish the borough as the center of gravity for the sport in the city, and Greenpoint adds another anchor on the waterfront corridor where access, density and visibility all matter.

USA Padel’s own platform points to the broader structure behind the event. Its site includes sections for Where to Play, membership, coaching and board leadership, a sign that the organization is trying to build more than a tournament calendar. The Ultra Open sits inside that larger push, giving players a more defined competitive ladder while giving clubs a marquee product to promote.

The pace of Padel Haus’s expansion tells the same story. The company planned to open its fourth citywide location by the end of 2024, and Greenpoint was part of that push. With one more purpose-built club added to Brooklyn’s growing indoor network, the Northeast is moving from scattered outposts to a serious competitive corridor with enough depth to support major events like the USA Padel 2000 Ultra Open.
