USA Padel junior team heads to Mexico for Pan American circuit

USA Padel’s junior national team will head to Mexico for Pan American Junior Circuit III on Aug. 6-8, the latest stop in a 2026 calendar that also included Pan American Junior Circuit II in Colombia from July 2-4. The Mexico event sits on the road to the federation’s biggest junior target of the year, the FIP Junior America Padel Cup in Mexico from Nov. 10-14, which USA Padel says will serve as the qualifier for the 2027 FIP Junior World Cup.

The junior team competes in the Padel America Junior Circuit and represents the United States, with Lorena Rouillon Jimenez and Jaume, known as Tato, Rouillon Jimenez as the coaching team. USA Padel says the program’s purpose is to identify, evaluate and select competition-level junior padel players while continuing to strengthen junior padel nationwide. That makes the Mexico trip more than a calendar stop: it is a checkpoint for a national system still trying to widen its base.

International junior events provide the kind of reps domestic play cannot. They put young Americans in matches against regional opponents, expose them to different styles and let national staff see who can handle travel, pressure and team competition. In a sport where the United States is still building depth from the ground up, the value of those matchups is as much about assessment as results. A junior player who can perform in Colombia and Mexico gives USA Padel a clearer read on who can carry the country into future FIP events.

The calendar also shows how the federation is trying to build a pathway rather than a one-off team. USA Padel’s broader national-team pages and training-camps materials frame junior development as part of a structured route into international competition, with the summer circuit leading to the November championship and, beyond that, the 2027 world junior qualifier. For American padel, that sequence is the real story: not just sending players abroad, but using regional competition to create the habits, standards and selection pool that established padel nations have relied on for years.
