USA Padel senior nationals set for five-division showdown in July 2026

USA Padel staged its Senior National Championships on July 17-18, bringing together some of the country’s top senior padel talent in a compact two-day title run it billed as a five-division showdown. The age-group slate pointed to men’s M35+, M45+ and M55+ brackets, along with women’s W35+, W45+ and W55+ competition.

The tournament started in the morning on Friday, July 17, and finished on Saturday, July 18, a short format that put a premium on readiness, recovery and match management. That shape mattered because senior padel is one of the clearest measures of how deep the sport has become in the United States, with competitive pathways now extending well beyond the youngest age bands.

USA Padel’s senior-team page says the USA National Senior Team competes annually in FIP and Padel America Championships. It also says FIP senior events are country-versus-country contests built around five matches across age groups, typically including 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+ and 60+ divisions. The national championship fit directly into that structure, giving older players a domestic target tied to international representation.

The timing also placed the event in a busy stretch of the summer calendar. One USA Padel tournament listing noted that the FIFA World Cup final was set for Sunday, July 19, at 3 pm Eastern, just one day after the senior nationals ended. That positioning underscored how the federation has been trying to carve out clear championship windows even as attention in July is split across bigger global events.

USA Padel’s broader 2026 schedule pointed in the same direction. The federation said it was kicking off the year with 115 tournaments scheduled nationwide from January through June, a volume that shows how much domestic competition has expanded underneath the senior category. Senior nationals now sit alongside that larger calendar rather than outside it, giving older players a visible endpoint and a national title worth targeting.

The federation has also tied age-group play to international ambition. It has previously promoted age-group national championships and a Pan American Senior Championships stop in Mar del Plata, Argentina, showing that senior padel is now part of both the domestic and continental landscape. For USA Padel, the July championship was not a side event. It was another marker that the sport’s competitive base has widened enough to support multiple serious divisions at once.
