USA Ultimate announces U.S. Open and Youth Club Championships dates

USA Ultimate put its elite club showcase and its youth pipeline on the same calendar when it posted, “Your 2025 US Open and YCC schedule is set!” and said teams were heading to Colorado. The federation’s combined announcement linked two of the sport’s biggest summer touchstones: the U.S. Open International Club Championships and the Youth Club Championships, both centered at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado.

The 2025 U.S. Open Club Championships were listed for Aug. 1-3, 2025 at Aurora Sports Park, 19300 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora, CO 80011. That made the event one of the key late-summer measuring sticks for top club teams, with the tournament bringing men’s, mixed and women’s divisions into the same high-level setting. USA Ultimate’s club guidelines framed it as part of the organized seasonal structure rather than a stand-alone showcase, reinforcing the event’s place near the top of the federation’s calendar.

The Youth Club Championships were staged at the same Aurora venue, and the tournament carried its own weight as the proving ground for high school-aged athletes. Ultiworld’s July 30, 2025 preview called YCC “the best of the best of youth ultimate,” and Play USA Ultimate’s results pages showed U-20 mixed and boys’ divisions among the age-group competition. By placing YCC alongside the U.S. Open, USA Ultimate put the sport’s present and future on adjacent fields in the same weekend footprint.

That pairing also fit the way the federation has increasingly presented club ultimate: as a pipeline with defined milestones from youth to elite play. The same organizational structure that governs the club season also supports youth competition, and the August weekend in Aurora made that connection visible for teams, families and fans. It was a clean snapshot of how programs build toward a national stage and how the sport’s calendar now connects development with championship-level competition.

Aurora has become a familiar stop for that storyline. USA Ultimate’s history pages show the city served as a championship venue in 2023 as well, when New York PoNY won the men’s title and Philadelphia AMP took the mixed crown. That continuity gives the Colorado site added significance: it is not just where the sport gathers, but where the top of the club game and the next wave of players keep intersecting.
