USA Ultimate Youth Club Championships crown age-group title winners

Seven Hills completed a back-to-back run in the U-20 Girls bracket, and USA Ultimate’s Aug. 4 Youth Club Championships wrap-up closed a weekend that handed age-group titles across the sport’s top youth stage. The event was branded as the 2026 U.S. Open Youth Club Championships, folding youth ultimate into USA Ultimate’s broader championship umbrella.

The U-20 Girls field in Aurora, Colorado, narrowed to Seattle Seven Hills, California Current, Colorado Cutthroat and Minnesota Superior, a final four that showed how concentrated elite youth ultimate has become in a handful of well-built club pipelines. Seven Hills then beat Superior in the final, giving the Seattle program its third title in four years and another proof point that the best youth teams now arrive with the kind of continuity usually associated with older club programs.

That repeat success is what separates YCC from a routine summer event. USA Ultimate has published Youth Club Competition Guidelines for both 2025 and 2026, and the championship structure splits the field into Youth Club U-20 Boys DI, Boys DII and Youth Club U-20 Mixed divisions, reinforcing a national pathway that rewards organized recruiting, coaching continuity and year-round development. The title race is no longer just about one hot weekend; it is about which programs have built systems sturdy enough to keep producing at the highest level.

The depth of the field showed up in the pool standings as well. Play USA Ultimate listed Virginia Vanguard, Madison MUFAbots U20X, Dallas Nightfall, Third Rail U20 Bx, Flying Pig, COSmic U-20 Boys, Philadelphia SEPDA, Villains and Triforce in Pool A, a coast-to-coast mix that underscored how many regions now bring tournament-ready rosters to the national stage. That spread matters because the next generation of elite ultimate is being shaped in local club ecosystems that now resemble full development pathways, not ad hoc summer teams.

USA Ultimate placed the winners recap in the same August championship cycle as its U.S. Open coverage, and the youth results did what this event always does: identify the programs most likely to shape college ultimate in the years ahead. Seven Hills left Aurora with another crown, and Seattle’s youth model again looked like one of the clearest power centers in the sport.
