Youth teams claim top finishes at Wabaunsee Lake wiffle ball tournament

Parker’s runner-up finish in 14U anchored a busy day at Wabaunsee Lake on August 8, where youth wiffle ball teams spread across age-based divisions and four brackets posted top-four results. The tournament also produced a first-place finish for 10U Day, a second-place showing for 8U and a fourth-place result for 10U McCarty.

Parker played with a few friends and came away one spot shy of the 14U title. That finish mattered because it came in a field built around six players per team and age groups that included 8U and 10U, giving the event the feel of a full youth tournament rather than a single-age matchup.

The classic Wiffleball Tournament at Wabaunsee Lake was promoted as officially back for August 8, 2026, and the results backed up that billing. 10U Day claimed first place, 8U finished second, 10U McCarty took fourth, and Parker’s 14U group landed in second, a strong showing that put the oldest youth bracket close to the championship line.
