9. Clay Bucholz
A two-time All-Star and a two-time World Series winner with the Boston Red Sox, Bucholz has had a great career. He also pitched a no-hitter in his second start, which was sensational at the time. However, Bucholz hasn’t always been an outstanding human being. In 2005, he attempted to commit one of the most bizarre crimes of all-time. It was so foolish that it was almost brilliant.

Bucholz was studying at McNeese State University in Louisiana. But they dismissed him after discovering that he had stolen almost 30 laptops from a nearby middle school. Bucholz planned to sell them all on campus but the authorities soon shut him down and he ended up back in community college. However, talent speaks for itself, as he still made his way to the highest level of baseball.
