Few people had cellphones in 1996 and they were mostly bulky devices with long antennae. However, one Finnish communications company came out of nowhere to become a global force. Nokia began developing personal cell phones around this time and became a world leader.
Everyone seemed to have a Nokia in this period because they were compact and reliable. It’s been a while since it was relevant like the Dallas Cowboys but who knows, maybe one day they’ll surprise us. Who will be relevant first: Nokia or the Cowboys?
