Griffin began his career with the L.A. Clippers but the franchise may not win a championship even if their opponents threw the series. However, he still managed to produce fantastic numbers in the Western Conference before he joined the Pistons. Injuries curtailed his career and reduced his impact in recent years (via Boston Globe).
Detroit traded the six-time All-Star to Brooklyn as they tried to assemble a super team. That didn’t go well as Griffin didn’t receive a lot of game time before a move to Boston. The newly-revived Celtics may represent his best chance of claiming that elusive ring. It would be a shame if he never receives that opportunity.
