The overall ramifications weren’t as bad as some of the games on this list but it was still terrible. New England inflicted the Chargers’ worst defeat in history in 2020 as they crushed them 45-0. It was an appalling blowout that shut the Chargers out (via SBNation).

For some reason, Anthony Lynn left rookie quarterback Justin Herbert in for the entire game. This left fans looking through their fingers because they feared a pointless injury to the star. It was a soul-destroying afternoon in the City of Angels and one that sent the franchise backward.
