This was a dismal defeat for Pittsburgh because their season began so well. They won their first 11 games of 2021 but this was misleading. Analysts consistently claimed that they were lucky to scrape through games. Finally, results caught up with them as they lost four of their last five.

Fortunately, they had done enough to make it to the playoffs. However, they faced a resurgent Cleveland Browns at the worst possible time. Ben Roethlisberger had the worst game of his career as he threw four interceptions. It was a humiliating and soul-crushing day at the office for the franchise (via Sporting News).

24. Denver Broncos vs. Chicago Bears (2011)

This was a tumultuous game for the Broncos because the Bears shut them out for most of it. However, their young quarterback Tim Tebow was capable of inciting madness. In 2016, it looked like they had finally done enough. They fought back from a 15-point deficit against the Steelers to take the lead. Washington was trash in this harrowing regular-season defeat to the Cowboys in 2021. The franchise had a lot of problems off the field because of Dan Snyder’s antics.
