Mostly anyone who watches football knows, begrudgingly or not, that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best NFL players of his generation. The talented yet controversial quarterback is a four-time NFL league MVP as well as a Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers. But things haven’t gone so well for him in the past couple of years. And building on that, it doesn’t help that he’s said some of the dumbest things a human has ever spoken.
So today we’ll look at some of the most idiotic statements that he’s made in public. Rodgers has become a parody of himself recently with questionable at best perspectives on many prominent subjects. Flag Football
These days most people agree that it’s important to protect football players from themselves. We understand the long-term risks of concussions and intense collisions. But Rodgers doesn’t agree and thinks people who think this way are ‘snowflakes’. He shared his feelings about the situation with his media-driven best friend Pat McAfee (via Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal).
Rodgers said: “If looking at the big picture, the softening of society has caused things like this. Look at all the sports. Hockey doesn’t have the enforcer position. People want to see football as a collision sport but not to the point where guys are getting mangled on the field.”
