19. Ugeth Urbina
Venezuelan relief pitcher Ugeth Urbina was a genuinely talented player. A two-time All-Star and a World Series winner, he was truly playing at baseball’s highest level. Unfortunately, despite being immaculate on matchday, his behaviour in the real world was not so good.
In 2004, he was arrested for his part in a crazy incident in Caracas, Venezuela. He tried to set multiple men on fire and attacked others with a machete. Exactly what you want to do when you’re one of the most successful sports stars in the world. He was handed a 14-year prison sentence but released in 2012 after serving 7.
