21. A.J Green
The Cincinnati Bengals are paying Green $18 million on the franchise tag. Now 32, the seven-time Pro Bowler was once one of the top receivers in the league. But that’s no longer the case and at his age, it’s unfair to expect him to be. Not only that, but the Bengals contrived to totally misuse him throughout the 2020 season. That makes their decision to hand him one of the biggest WR contracts all the more bizarre.

After 13 games in 2020, Green posted 35 receptions for 357 receiving yards and a single touchdown. By his lofty standards, those numbers are horrendous. Now, he is clearly older and the team is garbage, but one thing they did have was an outstanding young quarterback in Joe Burrow. It’s been a strange year for Green and his contribution hasn’t matched his salary.
