Philadelphia sports fans generally have a reputation for being some of the roughest out there. They’re even incredibly harsh toward their own players. So opposition fans have no chance of receiving a warm welcome in the City of Brotherly Love. One Cowboys fan even revealed that police asked him to leave for his own safety at Veterans Stadium in 1983.
This was the same stadium that had an in-house court and jail because Philly fans were a horror to deal with. Anyway, the Cowboys fan endured spilled sodas and beers as well as verbal threats in his direction. Finally, the police came over and asked him and his friend to leave before the situation got out of control. This was probably for the best but not exactly fair on him.
