“Cops should just go ahead and arrest JR Smith right now in preparation,” @MikeYMah wryly tweeted. To be fair, he isn’t wrong because Smith has a lengthy criminal record. In 2021 the former Cleveland Cavaliers and L.A Lakers star held one of the most unwanted records in NBA history. He had more arrests than any other active player in the league after numerous incidents.

One time, he beat up a man for damaging his car. Furthermore, he served almost 30 days in jail on a charge of reckless driving. Most of Smith’s convictions came in relation to driving offenses but he shows no signs of learning any lessons. However, Smith is a two-time NBA champion so he is doing something right. The question is if he’ll enjoy his rings from the comfort of a precinct cell.
