Daunte Culpepper
2005 was a major turning point for the Minnesota Vikings but it wasn’t a good one. First, they lost Randy Moss but then things became even worse for the team. Their quarterback played his last games for the franchise before badly injuring his knee ligaments. Then journeyman Brad Johnson replaced him as the starter.

They fell narrowly short of the postseason without Culpepper in the driving seat. It was unfortunate because it came after one of the best years of his career. But the injury came out of nowhere and then he moved to Miami. He flopped there and that was the beginning of Culpepper’s downturn (via Fansided).
