One of the most impressive aspects of Mahomes’ game and character is his toughness. In 2019, he missed two games with a dislocated knee but his injury record is otherwise spotless. This means a lot to the Chiefs because they trust their quarterback to stay fit and trust in his physical prowess.

In recent seasons we’ve seen quarterbacks like Dak Prescott suffer injuries and derail their franchises’ seasons. Perhaps Mahomes will have a serious injury at some point but he takes less damage than Joe Burrow and is tougher than Prescott.
